Hahn Super Dry is a full strength, low carb beer that is crafted with balance in mind. By drawing upon and refining all the best traits from the Hahn family of beers, the resulting brew is highly drinkable, with a delicate, spicy nose, a light golden colour and smooth malty flavour. It also delivers a refreshingly clean and crisp finish.
Brewed for a Superdry Taste
The brewing process breaks down large, complex sugars into simple ones. Later, these can be eaten by the yeast during fermentation.
Inspired by Japanese style beer, yet drawing upon brewing techniques from around the world, Hahn Super Dry has all the aroma and flavour of a European style lager, yet with a Super Dry taste.
Hahn Super Dry is the result of an enhanced, longer brewing process that ferments more of the natural sugars, delivering a beer with a fresh, clean taste yet only one third of the carbs of standard full strength beers. The reduced carb level and maltiness is often described as giving the beer a ‘drier’ taste.
The Brown Bottle & Crown Seal
Great care is taken to ensure that your Hahn Super Dry reaches you in optimum condition.
To the untrained eye, this looks just like an ordinary brown bottle. Which, in fact, it is.
But, what you may not know is that the brown bottle acts as a powerful shield against harmful UV rays. Because there are no preservatives or additives in the beer, the sensitive balance of ingredients needs this UV protection provided by the tinted glass of the bottle. Along with the airtight crown seal, this ensures maximum freshness, retaining the beer’s superness.
Brewing Heritage
Hahn Brewery was established by Dr Charles "Chuck" Hahn in 1986 at an old factory site in the suburb of Camperdown in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. A brewer of some of the finest premium beers including Hahn Premium and Hahn Premium Light, Hahn was one of Australia’s original and pioneering ‘boutique’ breweries.
Chuck Hahn is Australia's highest profile brewer, and has been a force in Australian, New Zealand and American brewing for over 30 years. In 1993 the brewery joined forces with Lion Nathan, in a move that would see the Hahn brand springboard nationally over the next decade.
Although he now spends most of his time heading up Australia’s leading craft brewery - Malt Shovel Brewery (responsible for the highly respected James Squire range of beers), to this day, Chuck continues to maintain personal involvement in the Hahn brands.

Hahn Premium: Since its launch in 1988 Hahn Premium has grown into one of Australia’s favourite domestic premium beer brands. In 1999 Hahn Premium fought off competition from around the globe to be awarded the "Grand Champion" medal at the Australian International Beer Awards. Low Carb
Thanks to the enhanced brewing process, the fermented sugars can be eaten by the yeast.
Carbohydrates are a part of food that supplies energy, or calories, to the body. If this energy is not used, our bodies turn them into fat. Hahn Super Dry uses an enhanced brewing process that breaks down more of the natural sugars (a normal part of the brewing process), allowing them to be then ‘eaten’ by the yeast during fermentation. The result is a beer with a refreshing Super Dry taste, yet with only a third of the carbs of standard full strength beer.
